PENGARUH MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA POWERPOINT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS IPA SISWA KELAS VIII

Abstract
Pengaruh Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media Powerpoint terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis IPA Siswa Kelas VIII. Pembelajaran IPA mengutamakan proses penyelidikan dan pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, pembelajaran IPA di kelas cenderung berpusat pada guru. Siswa kurang dibekali dengan pemecahan masalah sehingga kemampuan berpikir kritisnya kurang dilatihkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning berbantuan media Powerpoint terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Tulungagung. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian melibatkan kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes dan RPP. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji independent sample t test. Dari hasil analisis data, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 < 0,05, artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning berbantuan media Powerpoint terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Tulungagung.
